In Internet Explorer, for example, when you add a site as a "favorite" and it
pops up on your 'link bar,' some sites are accompanied by their own little
icon (vs. the generic 'web page' icon that IE assigns .. example being the
'butterfly' icon used by msn.com.) I was wondering if there was anyway to
assign an icon to my website using FrontPage 2003, and if so, how?

Just be advised when using IE we will not see the favicon until the page is
saved as a Favorite. Furthermore, IE saves the icon file in the temporary
cache. If you empty the cache which most of us learn we have to do from time
to time the favicons get deleted.

Google: AM-Deadlink

Download that program. It is very helpful. It relocates the favicons so they
will not get deleted when the cache is cleared and it also checks every
Favorite to determine if the Favorite still points to a live page. Be
advised: read the AD-Deadlink help, configure AM-Deadlink and then run it at
night before going to sleep as it can take a long time to run if you have a
lot of Favorites.
