how to arrange an audio conference

I've installed windows messenger 5.0 and live commnunications server 2003. I
would like to have an audio conference. But, while having a voice
conversation with one user, if I try to invite the third person for the voice
conversation, I'm getting a warning message saying that the present
conversation needs to be ended in order to start a new conversation. So, what
should I do in order to have an audio conference?

With the Radvision MCU "Via IP 400", you get multiparty
audio+video+data conferences in an excellent quality. You can even mix
H.323-based Netmeeting with SIP-based Windows Messenger in one
conference. The Radvision T.120 data sharing module does not cooperate
with WM 5.0.0381, but with WM 5.0.0482.

Hi,
Since we are using VPN in our company, is there any need of Radvision MCU
"Via IP 400"? Is there any other way of arranging an audio conference? We are
using windows messenger 5.0 and live commnunications server 2003 (SIP
Communications Service with TCP option selected). Can you help in this
regard? Thanks in advance.

LCS 2003 and 2005 are designed for audio or video 1:1, not for mixing
and redistributing audio and video streams of multiple messenger
clients, which would be a precondition for multiparty audio and video.
Since this is not always stated very explicitly, I myself got to learn
it only recently. Multipoint audio and/or video can only be achieved by
an additional MCU.

The Radvision "Via IP 400"
http://www.radvision.com/NBU/Products/viaIP+Custom+Solutions/viaIP400.htm
was particularly extended to complement LCS
http://directory.partners.extranet.microsoft.com/collateral/2215/RADVISION IMfirst.pdf .
It has been used successfully for the central videoconferencing service
for all German Universities. I was content with it already at a time
where my elearning groups worked with Netmeeting exclusively. Don't
hesitate to ask, if I can be of any further assistance.
