How to apply folder view to subfolders?

B

Bernhard Kohlhaas

Hello,

I'm using WinXP Professional and I'd like to configure
the folder view for a particular tree structure.

However in the "Folder Options" Dialog of the Explorer
I can apply a folder view for the current folder only
to all folders in the system, but not just to the
sub-folders of the current folder.

Is there any way to do this (or any 3rd party tool that
allows you to do this)?

Thanks for any info in the matter,

Bernhard

Hi Bernhard,

If you mean you want to view all other folders and subfolders to be
view in like your current folder that you've just configure / set, why
don't you go back to Folder Options > View > "Apply to All Folders".
Then, click OK. If you have to, you probably need to close "windows
explorer first" then open it again.

Good Luck!

Krappo.

Bernhard;
Right click the main folder/click Properties/click Customize/check Also
apply this template to all subfolders. Hope this helps.

You can't. While customise this folder applies the template it does not apply other settings.

My problem is that clicking the applu template to
subfolders does not work. The chosen template applies to
the current folder but not to any subfolders, even if the
checkbox is checked.
any thoughts?
