how to always say no to "do you want to change your home page..."

Whenever I land accidentally on a typo-trap web site, it always try to
switch my home page and I always have to say no to the question.
Is there a way to disable setting home page from web script or to make IE
always respond with NO to this request? I cannot imagine when this feature
is ever useful.

It would be even better if there's a way to avoid the typo traps.

For IE, you can get 3rd party tools that will lock the home page, like
SpywareGuard or Spybot. SpywareGuard runs as a background process to
ensure your home page won't get changed. Spybot works by adding the
following registry entries:

Key = HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Control Panel
Value Name = Homepage
Value Data = 1

Malware could still undo that protection to change your web page;
however, that would require it to run on your host rather than just
visiting a page that wanted to change your home page via request.
