How to add a data file to resource?

I have a text file that I would like to add to my resource file for a
later use. Could some one point me to a link or a document of how to
accomplish this in c#? I saw some example of Images and string but
couldn't find one where the text file is added as resource.

In the picture, notice the [Add Resource] button. Using that you can add an
existing file.
