How do I access BIOS setup on an old Toshiba Satallite
320CDT. I tried all function keys. I did not try using
the setup disk but if that is the option, how would I do
it. Is there a command line prompt I can use? I am
currently running Windows 2000 but the option does not
appear no matter which OS is installed. It is not an OS
issue( of course). Thank you for any help.

Hold Escape while powering on. It will tell you to "check system and
press F1". Press F1, and you're there.

Greetings --

The operating system is immaterial. Only you know what
motherboard and BIOS you have, so only you know the answer to your
question. ;-}

In the extremely unlikely event that your PC's manual or the
motherboard manufacturer's web site doesn't contain the needed
information, try one or more of the following:

Helge thank you very much for the info. Toshiba tech
support could not help me. One other question, the
Toshiba tech says I can change the PCMCIA slot from 16
bit to 32 bit in the BIOS. I searched the BIOS and did
not see the option to do so. Can that be done and how?
Thanks again for the BIOS info.

That's very disappointing. Toshiba normally have excellent support for
their products. They also have an excellent online knowledge base.

Take a look at http://pcsupport.toshiba.com/. There's a lot of useful
information as well as a few downloads.

The BIOS setup has two pages. Press PgDown to see the other one. You
can also install a BIOS configuration program for Windows to make the
changes a little more user friendly.

Hi Bruce,

My question was answered by another person. Press
escape while powering up. Thanks for your time.
