How to About windows xp cd writer...

I just installed my new windows xp, nero burning rom, but the problem is that
windows uses it's own cd writing tool so nero can't use the same cd-rw. How
can disable the standart cd writing tool that I could use nero? Please help.

Isn't this covered in the user guide or help file for nero?

Foxbound,

Open Windows Media Player > Tools > Options > Plug-ins > Background, uncheck
the Nero plug-in. I just installed Media Player 10 but the options should be
similar.



ps-I have this checked but also use another outside CD Burner, why can't you
open your preferred burner and use that? Just curious.

Actually it is not true.
A CD-RW can be used by both Windows burner and Nero.
I think you didn't choose your CD-RW in More-->Disc Information in Nero.
