In Win98 the disk's properties menus would tell me when I last
defragmented or scandisk-ed a particular disk.

How do I find out the same information in XP Pro?

Hi, I don't actually want to schedule a defrag. I just want to know
where to look to see when it was last done on my disk.

Frankly, I suspect this information is not recorded by the basic defrag
utility in XP; or if it is recorded somewhere knowledge of it is
obscure. Probably the best way to achieve what you want is to put a
yellow PostIt on your monitor and write down when you defrag. Perhaps
the 3rd party defrag programs do this if this critical.

It's got to be in XP. Hasn't it?

Doesn't *have* to ...

If this really important to you, why not just schedule the defrag to
run, say once a week on Friday afternoon, then you know the last time
was "last Friday afternon." Just a thought.
