How should I change my display settings? (post again)

In fact I have the driver. At least NEC multisync is a really old monitor and both win 2000 and XP have the driver for it.
The problem is when I hook up newer montior like SyncMaster 753DF, then I can't hook it back to the MultiSync 3d. Because the setting of the display was changed to the high resolution and color and can't be changed back. And on the old montior I can't even view it correctly, how can I change it back and load the right driver for it?

Hook the samsung up so you can see. Go into device manager and delete all
monitors, then shut the computer down. Then hook other monitor back up and
turn computer on. Windows should find it and install it. Post back if it
doesn't work.

I installed the XP on my computer with a monitor: multisync 3d 14'. Then I hooked up this computer to another monitor is sumsung syncmaster 17' which has higher solution. But after that, when I hooked it back to my old monitor, it is blinking and can't be view properly. I hooked it to the sumsung 17' and change the display setting to 800X600 and 16 bit color which is the lowest setting I can choose in the XP then. And when I hook it back to NEC multisync 3d. It still can't be viewed properply. I have no idea how to downdating the monitor in the device manager. Because I change it to multisync ( no choice in the list) when it was hook up to the 17' montior. It still can't work fine in the multisync. Headache!

FWIW - while the 753DF is connected reset its resolution and colors to a
range that the NEC likes (640x480 w/16 colors?).

Boot hitting F8 as BIOS info goes to black, take the 'Enable VGA' to get
into a basic level display and change it there
