the silenx and several other quiet PSUs are just slightly modified Fortrons
(different fan and maybe different fan controller). the silenx is quiet but
it moves very little air and is likely to overheat. plus, after all the
posting the guy who owns the silenx brand did on forums pretending to be
customers raving about his PSU i wouldn't buy one of them. take a look at
this site.

Dual fan power supplies, almost by definition, are not quiet imho.
Two fans are almost always
louder than one.

Take a look at the recommended power supply list at

http://www.silentpcreview.com

Some listed are somewhat expensive. I went for the Fortron/Sparkle
FSP350-60PN (with 120 mm
fan). It's very quiet. I can hear a clock ticking with the clock
about 10ft from me and the computer
about 1 foot away under a desk. The case fans are on a fanbus at the
lowest settings
and I still can not hear the psu over them.

Just my 2 cents,

Kevin
