How Much Faster Is the 850XT Platinum Edtion Than The 9800XT ??

Hi Guys,
I' ve been running a 9800XT on my P4 3.0 Ghz for three
years now and I've have been offered a 850XT Platinum Edition AGP.

Will I see a big difference by upgrading to this card or should I just
confine myself to the fact I will have to get a new motherboard and go
the PCI-E route ?

Been goggling for Benchmarks between to two cards, but it seems the
9800xt is just to old to compare

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here's an article from May '04 that compares the 9800XT to a X800XT PE.
You can see the domination of the 800 part over the 9800, especially in
higher resolutions. Check some newer reviews to see how the 800
compares to the 850 part, and that will get you in the ballpark.
