how many pixels are in an inch? ie. 2x3.5=how many pixels?

Hi Angel,
Pixels do not have a preset size. They're more often expressed in terms of density (pixels per inch) or 'resolution'.
For example, the average PC computer monitor displays 96 pixels per inch, even if a graphic is 600 pixels or dots per inch when
printed.
Some graphic formats, such as JPG let you save into that file a pixel per inch value to be used by other programs to determine how
to 'size' the graphic, based on the intent of that save. In Word, if the graphic doesn't tell Word a value to use then the value in
Tools=>Options=>General=>Web Options=>Picture is used to do initial sizing of an inserted graphic in common uses.
In your example, a 96 PPI graphic would at 2" x 3.5" contain 192px by 336px.
