How many Cookies are too many?

M

Mikie

Hi....!

I only allow cookies from the folowing sites. and I allow ALL from each
of the sites listed: Sometimes I allow one if the duration /
expiration date is only during the time I'm on that site..

My ISP
My Bank
My Credit Card,
Buy.com
Amazon.Com
Yahoo Shopping
Ebay and PAYPAl
and All Google.

Would I be average or above average in cookies allowed, maybe below
average?,,,,I'm not sure just where to draw the line in accepting
cookies. I use Cookie Pal, which alerts me when a cookie is presented.

Help?
Thanks, and Merry Christmas...MIke

As far as I know - there is no definitive answer.
I personally would say you are unusual in knowing how many cookies you
have - and even unusual in being interested enough to actually limit them at
all.

I'll reply here because I agree completely with Shehan. If you don't clear
them and then run AdAware or something you will find hundreds, all of which
are meaningless and not worth bothering about. There are some "Possible"
issues but to be honest there are a lot more important things to worry
about, of course it is a lot to do with personal opinion.

As for comparisons I think you have probably got less than anyone else :)

What is your rationale for accepting or denying cookies?

Generally, I allow any/all cookies. But I flush all of these at the end of
each and every internet sesssion. Some I've find are tracking cookies of
your internet site visits. These can't do any continual tracking if
deleted.

I dont allow third party cookies and I run softeware that deletes spying
cookies but I dont worry about them.
