how many connections?

I notice that the windows 2000 family of servers support up to 256 dial-up connections but win2k pro only supports one dial up connection. My questions are what limits the ability of win2k pro to have more connections, certainly more can be created. I assume they can only be used one at a time.

My second question is there any limit to the number of "connections" on the NIC connection?

You're limited to ten simultaneous connection on a workstation. (note: one
user does not equal one connection)

Because Win2K Pro is a workstation OS, and not a server OS, it is
limited by design to 10 simultaneous inbound network connections, and
one RAS connection. If you want or need more, you need to use a
server OS.

Each user needs their own connection right? You can have users who have
privileges but only 10 at a time can connect to windows 2K pro (desktop OS).
Right?

For each user at least one connection. Depending on the process this can be
multiple connections per user. Correct on ten simultaneous connection.
