According to http://visio.mvps.org/Excel_2007.htm "...the last cell in Excel
has gone from IV65536 to XFD1048576. That is going from 256 columns to
16,385 columns and from 65,536 rows to 1,048,576 rows.

Worksheet size 1,048,576 rows by 16,384 columns

Go to help and click on What's New to find a list of specifications.

BTW............in a new blank worksheet to go to last row, hit CTRL + End +
Down Arrow

CTRL + Home to back to A1

Actually, it is 16,384 columns. To quickly move to the last column, you can
press CTRL-<Right Arrow>.
