How many bits in Windows XP

S

Steve

I'm trying to install the patch for the worm virus. The
dialog box is asking whether I have Windows XP 32 bit
edition or Windows XP 64 bit edition. How do I find this
info?

Look one post below!

You have 32bit most likely - 99.98% Chance

If you have XP Home it is for sure 32bit.

If you have XP Pro..Right click on My Computer and select Properties. If
you see 64-bit in there anywhere u have 64 it it does not say 64 then u have
32.

Right click on MY COMPUTER. Then select PROPERTIES. Under the GENERAL tab
will be "64 bits" if it is indeed 64 bits. If nothing about the number of
bits is mentioned, it's 32 bits.

I'd be willing to bet that yours is 32-bit.

Try actually READING the information concerning this on MS's webpage
that takes you to the download.
