Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 server where a Win XP client is linked to. I set up a
user name on the server and the same user name is created on the Win XP system.

The other day, from the client PC, I couldn't log on to the Win 2000 because
the password for that user name on the Win 2000 system expired.

Is there a way to set the password to never expire on Windows 2000? If not,
how long does it take until this password expires? Thanks.

You might try this:

Open 'Control Panel', open 'Users & Passwords', click on 'Advanced',
click on 'Advanced' again, on the left side click on 'Users', on right
side right click on desired user name and click on 'Properties', click
on 'Password never expires'.

rdb.
