Subject: How keep Window sizes the way I want?
Date: Tuesday, June 27, 2006 1:30 PM

My default Window size is too big for many of the windows - so I resize
them. But, when I go back to the window, the size has not remained the way
I set it. How can I accomplish this? Also, is there a way to increase the
number of windows that will use the default view? Thanks.........

PS: Also, sometimes when I reboot, my windows have changed from 'List' to
'Icon'. Is there a fix for this? Thanks again.........

Each application has it's own "default view". Some will save the
settings from the last session, but this is not determined by Windows.

Sorry - I'm talking about Folder Windows.

in explorer or internet explorer ..you can drag the corners to the size you
wish and hit the "X" in the top right , they 'should' open to that size next
time.

other programs have the start window size preset in the program ..so , no go
there I'm afraid.

These windows should return to the size of previous session. Doesn't
always work that way though.

Windows will always remember the size of the last window closed (in most
applications). Resize the smaller window (don't maximize it), close all
other windows, then close the resized one.
