Your very first step in removal should be to copy and paste ==> 0x80501001
<== into the Search function at the top of this forum, then click GO.
You'll learn about what WD does if a threat is detected inside of a
container such as a ZIP file, RAR archive, etc.

Dave's got the right diagnosis. If you look at the System events log at the
time of the original detection, it will have a record showing exactly what
file is detected, and you can choose whether or not to remove or rename that
file.

Since Windows Defender has just been released, if you are not on the
released version, you might consider downloading (www.microsoft.com --about
in the middle of the page) the released version and upgrading over your
current version--just to see whether this message has been improved on.

My version is:

Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1347.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1609.0
Definition Version: 1.14.1736.7

Is this the "released" Version? Is defender no longer a beta product?
What exactly do you mean by released version? Mine is from Microsoft.

The version you have is still beta. Microsoft has since (2 days ago?)
released a newer version, which is no longer a beta product. Go to
www.microsoft.com and download via the link approximately in the middle of
the page. It will upgrade the version you have in place.
