I trust your statement regarding your own complete lack of
involvement in the popup ads. I ended up having to republish the
original report with the link (from Onfolio) to get the popups to
cease. It wasn't just eliminating the obvious added popup window
code; the file had to be completely destroyed. This same procedure
occurred on two separate instances of the same link; one off the
computer and one on the computer. Now that things are back the way
they were originally, the problem has ceased. The details behind
who's making the money will have to remain a mystery. It's really
obnoxious.

I'm still not sure about what could be causing this. If I were you, I would
not lower the alarm level. I know that it's not my software causing it.
Therefore, whatever it was, it's still there!

If I were troubleshooting this on my box, I would start up IE and then get a
user-mode dump of the process and see what's loaded into the process.

Also, I apologize if my statement regarding potential lawsuit
material felt harsh. Having my name all over the popup window with
the ad, like it's my ad, felt to me like identity theft, and not
being able to get rid of it (fortunately, destroying the files and
starting over worked) was a little overaggressive for my tastes,
especially after midnight. I tried to stick with the facts of what
happened. The rest is still a mystery, and most likely illegal.

Apology accepted. Remember that having your name on a popup from your site
is not unexpected. Your domain name is your name after all!
