The subject of cookies. Cookies aren't spyware and have no
executable properties. Spyware is covertly and maliciously
installed software. One of the best websites out there
explaining spyware/adware/parasiteware is Ben Edelman's
site. If you don't want cookies, you can set that
preference in your browser.
Because it doesn't scan for them, as evidenced by the counters in the scan
statistics. This is widely reported in these groups, but, I think, not
clearly noted in any of the Microsoft published material, except Steve
Dodson's blog entry.
Microsoft has said that some feature relating to cookies may be available in
a later beta version, but this hasn't appeared as yet.

.
Nothing but trouble since I installed it. Now can't
Use it to clean up the installer traces of the Microsoft Antispyware
installation.
Delete the installation folder and subfolders (typically c:\program
files\microsoft antispyware)
Then reinstall it logged in as an administratior, and immediately uninstall
it.
This should get you a "proper" uninstall. It will leave stuff behind, which
you should feel free to remove if it bothers you.
