how fix parallel card Code 10

I recently acquired a second printer which works when
attached to LPT1.

So that both printers could be plugged in and ready to
use, I bought a second parallel card.

The card is second hand but the seller told me it had
worked on his XP professional operating system and I
believe him.

But not on my Windows XP set up.

I have installed and reinstalled it several times and in
different expansion ports.

I have had considerable help from the manufacturers,
Titan Electronics, who have supplied the correct drivers
and some help.

When I install it, it appears in the list of drivers as
OX12PCI840 PCI Parallel port(Windows XP)(LPT2) but with a
yellow explanation mark attached to the icon.

When I double click it there is a message

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Titan Electronics do not recognize the error message. Is
there anyone out there who does and who can tell me how
to cure it?

Switch boxes will create more problems. He needs to get the XP drivers for
the OX12PCI840 PCI Parallel port. Xp does not come with those drivers
(???).

What he could have also done was to buy a USB to Parallel adapter.
