How does the trial version of Powerpoint work?

I want to order the Trial version for Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, etc for a
Microsoft class I am taking and I need them all asap. I currently have
Microsoft Basic Edition and I dont have Powerpoint. If I orde it then do I
install with the cd and then use it for 30 days? will it work?

It should be OK to do a custom install of just powerpoint. I would want to be
sure that I had the original CD for basic office in case of problems and need
for reinstall though.
