How does one hyperlink to the bottom of a page or recent point?

No problem bookmarking or hyperlinking top of page - but nothing else is
allowed. How can I bypass this blockage?
 
Word doesn't really know what a "page" is; if your document is pretty
much finalized (so it's not likely to shift to the next page), you
could insert a bookmark at the bottom of each page you want to be able
to link to.
