How do you type vertically?

I'm trying to make a flier with my phone number at the bottom of the flier
typed vertically several times so that the number can be torn off if someone
wants to take my number. How would I be able to do that?

Insert a table, one row by as many columns as you want. Select the table. In
Word 2003 or earlier, click Format > Text Direction and choose the direction
you want; in Word 2007, click the Table Tools > Layout tab and click the
Text Direction button in the Alignment group.

Insert a borderless table as close to the bottom of the page as possible.
You'll need a single row and as many columns as will fit (allowing, say,
half an inch column width). Type your phone number in one cell. Use Format |
Text Direction to rotate it. Select the cell and Copy. Select the table and
Paste.

FWIW, if you have Publisher, it contains templates for fliers with
tear-offs, which would make your task much easier.
