how do you transfer old saved emails?

PR

I have recently started using a new computer with vista.
I had a number of emails saved in outlook on my old computer running xp,
which I saved to a CD using the export feature.
I cannot 'find' these files using the import feature in windows mail in
vista, any ideas?
Thanks

Did you copy that file from the CD onto the new computer's hard drive
somewhere (anywhere as long as you take note of where you copied them to)
before attempting the import. I don't think you can import directly from a
CD file - I believe it must be saved to the HD first and imported from that
location. Try it.

If you mean the old computer used Outlook Express, then see
www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx and the section on Windows Mail. Otherwise, if
you really mean Outlook, then you have to either export the messages to
Outlook Express on the old machine and then import them into Windows Mail,
or else you have to install Outlook on the Vista machine.
