How do you send a HTML email from a Frontpage application?

I have created a webpage in Frontpage to send as a mailshot, but
unfortunately when I go to send it (File>send as e-mail) all of the images
disappear, just leaving the text.

Someone suggested to me that I might need to embed the pictures somehow, or
change the settings. I am stumped.

Please help if you can!

To send a html page as an email, the images must be on a public server because they are not embedded
in a web page, the page only contains links to them.

To create an html email with embedded images, it needs to be done in Outlook Express, with it set to
compose in html mode.
When the email is sent, the images are then embedded by OE and the email is sent as a monolithic
binary file.

Where is "compose in HTML mode"? Do you mean Rich Text?

How come Outlook Express does it monolithically and Outlook is polylithic? I've always wondered why it could not be easily done in Outlook.

The individual email is monolithic, once in the inbox it is then part of a polylithic file.
( I think )

Actually there *is* a polylithic file structure.

Actually it's not hard to grasp.
This response in itself is a monolithic file on the server. When you click the Subject header to
open it in Outlook Express, it is downloaded to your machine and added to the polylithic .dbx file
in your machine for this news group. The subject header is nothing more than a pointer to the
location in the .dbx file for the binary data for this particular message.

Additionally, a multi page web site is in a sense a polylithic file set.

"Inventive" would be more appropriate, as "polylithic" is not a word...

As a matter of fact, I checked out www.dictionary.com, and neither is "poly
lithic," or "poly-lithic."

yah, but if you can have a mono-lith certainly you have many liths...one stone, many stones.

it certainly would be understood even if it's not a real word.

Okay, so somebody made up a word. Now, I will do the same. The joculization
of the English language is occurring at an increasing rate, due to the
proliferation of invented language on many popular web sites.

From now on, "joculization" is a word.

Monolithic binary file? Neat...actually it uses something called a CID.
You can see that in the headers of e-mail which has embeded images. They
are like an attachment but different because in Outlook Express or Outlook
the e-mail will not show as containing an attachment. But the CID is like
you say a binary "attachment." Monolithic is cool doesn't that mean BIG?
This can be done with a 1px image which isn't really too monolithic.
