How do you remove a Group By from a query?

D

Dennis

All,

I have a "TOTAL line in my query design form:

Field ....
Table ...
Total ...
Sort ....
Show ...
Criteria ...
or ....

I have no use for this total line. I must have specified Group By at some
point in time on this query, but I don't want it now. Each field on the
query has the value "Expression" for the Total field. I would like to remove
this line.

I've look in Access Help and while it tells you how to add a Group By, it
does not tell you how to remove it.

I've switched the query to SQL view and there is no Group By clause. Just
for fun, I added a group by field and then switched to SLQ view and deleted
the clause hoping this would remove the line, but no such luck.

Any suggestions on how to remove the Total / Group By line? I'm on Access
via Xp Office Pro on Xp Pro.

Thank you for your assitance.

Open in design view and click on the Greek symbol on the tool bar that looks
like an "M" on its left side -- ∑

That will change the query from Totals to Select.
