If the Performance tool (Startrograms:Administrative
Toolserformance) allows you to create a new trace log
using "Performanc Logs and Alerts:Trace Logs" you would
think that it would allow you to see the logs that you
capture.
I can't find any help which describes how to open and look
at the logs that are captured in the "etl" file.
Search .etl in http://filext.com
There is a reference to using Tracedmp.exe from the
Windows 2K resource kit that creates CSV files from ETL.
Search Tracedmp.zip in http://www.filesearching.com,
download it and give it a try!
I tried this by copying the Support Tools located on the
XP CD. It didn't work. The result was formatted but
everything came up "unknown" - totally useless.
