etl log files

Does anyone know how to view log files with an etl
extension in the performance monitor. I set up a trace
log which has an extension of *.etl which is the default
for a sequential log file. When I try to read it using
performance monitor it can't. The help file and technet
is very helpful about telling you how to setup this type
of file but completely fails to mention how to read it!

You can use tracedmp.exe from the resource kit.
