how do you find out the files original filename

i used to know how to find out the original filename by
looking at the properties or somtin, im not sure. i want
to know how so i can detect viruses and such easily (aka
the original filename would be somtin liek server.exe)

That's not possible... and relying on filenames isn't really an effective
way of finding a virus.
