How do you delete a file from outgoing mail

Could someone tell me how do I remove a huge Microsoft
Publisher file I tried to send in Outlook? I have
attempted several times to delete it and it will not be
removed. It is now preventing me from receiving my
regular e-mail.

I have already removed the original of the attached file
from the computer file. This has not helped either. What
can be done. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you
may have.

There are 5, or more, version of Outlook. Which one do you have?

Have you tried checking if Microsoft's own support site has the info
(once you determine which version of Outlook you are using)? Go to
http://support.microsoft.com, advanced search, select your version of
Outlook, search on "stuck outbox" (all words), and see if one of those
articles apply.

Otherwise, post back in this thread as to what is your version of
Outlook. Then someone familiar with that version and the fix can
assist.
