how do you change the .net password?

I have an msn account or .net account or a windows live account or
hotmail account or some such thing...
To make this simple how do I change the password that I use to login
to msn messenger or to my hotmail account...

What is with microsoft and all these meaningless names for unspecific
services?????

Thanks.. Sorry for the rant. I don't know where else to ask this
