How do you change the default tab in File -> New menu ?

Can you explain more clearly what you are trying to do? There isn't a
'default' tab in file > new.

You can do this by creating your own normal.dot template.
You can set the tabs, the margins, the font, etc., in a
new document, and save it as normal2.dot. Then go into
your templates directory using the Windows Explorer/File
Manager, find and delete the normal.dot, and rename the
normal2.dot as normal.dot. You will now have a new
normal.dot template that has all of your cuctomized
settings.

Cordially,

I'm afraid you can't--at least not without a macro to intercept the FileNew
command and select a tab (if even that is possible).
