I would like to go directly to my desktop, bypassing
the "to begin click user name" screen when I start my
computer, I have XP Professional bulit by Primio (CompUSA
associate).

It seems as if I have searched tons of screens and drop
downs and cannot find how to turn off this screem.

Would appreciate any ideas. Thanks, Bill

Bill,

Click Start, Run and type "control userpasswords2", and click Ok. Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and click Ok.

Since the group is windowsxp.basics, we tend to assume that they're running XP, Bill.
