How do you add Business Contact's to a "new mail' message?

If I open the "new mail" window and click To: , I get a search screen that
doesn't access my Business Conacts. I must have setup my Business Conacts
preferences incorrectly.

Right-click the Business Contacts folder, choose Properties, and make sure
the Outlook Address book box is checked.

Well, I tried that, the check is not in there and the box is faded... it
won't take a check. How do I check that box?

Those symptoms indicate that the Outlook Address Book is not present in your
mail profile. Add it with Tools | E-mail Accounts.

Try removing the Outlook Address Book, restarting Outlook, then adding it
back in. That should give you a clean slate to mark contact lists as part of
the address book.

Hi Sue .. :)))

(I gave up that Forms-project in Outlook .. lol)

But please Sue, when in BCM I want to click my incomming sender of mails to
add to my BCM. But Outlook adds only to my ordinary Contacts Folder.

Properties are right for sending mails, but I can't fix this (small) problem.

Knowing you, I'm sure you can?

The posts in this thread are a couple of years old. I have Outlook 2007
w/Business Contact Manager. I have tried the suggestions noted in this thread
and they do not work. Maybe it did in Outlook 2003, but not 2007. My mail
lists are on the regular contacts page and I can see them with the To:
button, but I cannot find business contacts. Help. I also have contacts with
Exchange Server that is connected to with VPN that it has no problem finding.

scribesusan,

On the Outlook toolbar click on the Address book icon to open the dialogue
window. Go to tools and then select options. You should be able to then
select your searching and viewing preferences between the Outlook Contacts
address book and the BCM Business Contacts address book.

I tried that. The regular Outlook contacts show up, as well as those on the
Exchange Server. Business Contact Manager contacts do not show up on the
list. I end up having to bring up Business Contacts and then send email from
a business card.
