How do we stop this stupid message from appearing every time ????????

With SP 2, Microsoft insist on putting this stupid message into
emails, when you Select a file, RIGHT CLICK, and then "SEND TO MAIL
RECIPIENT".

How do we stop this stupid message from appearing? Don't the idiots at
MS realize that we don't need to see this every single time we send a
file????????????????/

MESSAGE:

attachments: desktop.ini Note: To protect against computer viruses,
e-mail programs may prevent sending or receiving certain types of file
attachments. Check your e-mail security settings to determine how
attachments are handled.

This fix was posted earlier by MVP Mike Santovec:

This registry key will get rid of the message:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
"WarningMsgInBody"=""

You can either manually edit the registry, or copy/paste the above 3 lines
into Notepad,
and save with an *.REG file name (e.g. Attachment-warning.REG ). Then
double click the REG file to update the registry

Is this key correct? There is no "WarningMsgInBody" in my
registry and the only folder after "Policies" is "Explorer".

(Using WinXP Home with SP2 installed.)

I don't find it in mine either. I should have checked to see if it were
correct prior to reposting the "fix". My apologies.

Did you try adding the key?
The fix said this key will get rid of the message.
The fix didn't say to change the value of the key.

Merging that registry fix changes the message to:
The message is ready to be sent with the following file or link attachments:
Shortcut to: http://www.google.com/

Annoying message when forwarding links

This registry solution removes only the "NOTE" portion of the forwarded link email. "The message is ready to be sent with the following file or attachments: is embedded in a dll file somewhere else in the system. It has been suggested that by switching from Outlook Express to Thunderbird, this annoyance will no longer be an issue. Wrong. Since it is a part of the Dynamically Linked Libraries with which MockUsoft is so enamored, it cannot be changed unless you have access to a dll editor/compiler. Thank you Bill Gates for insulting your users' intelligence...again.

When you have done all that, paste in a copy of Sendmail.dll from Windows98 (don't know if ME would work) (found in the C:\Windows\System folder) to the C:\Windows\System32\dllcache folder FIRST (ok the warning nags) then paste to C:\Windows\System32 folder (again ok the warning nags).
