I want to be able to send all incoming messages to a certain folder.

Since most of it is spam anyway, I want to autorespond to those spam
messages, by clicking once, to hightlgt the message, and having a rule
set, which will autorespnd a 'pre-recorded' message to send right
back.

So, the only 'manual' steps I want to have to be able to do are this:
1) click on each of the undesireable mail messages
2) click something else, which will format each message, in the junk
folder.
3) click Send/Receive.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

Rest assured that my intention is not to reply with vulgarity or
anything destructive. But I figure I should have this capability,
since I got the spam in the first place.

I use O/L 2000.

Need more info from me?
Please post all responses/questions here.

Why do you want to send a reply to the SPAM? By doing that you will either
get an undeliverable b/c most of the spam email address are invalid OR if
you they happen to be a vaild email address you are letting them know that
you received the message and they will spam you even more.

A simple rule that applies to all messages will do this handily.

Bad idea. At best, the address from which the SPAM was sent is bogus, so
all you'll do is wind up generating a non-delivery report back to yourself.
At worst, you'll have validated your address to the SPAMmer, giving them
license to send you more SPAM and sell your known-working address to other
SPAMmers.

I don't care if everybody and their mother sends me SPAM. It seems
they do, anyway.

I just want to have an autoresponder, not filled with abusive
language, but to point them to a particular page of mine, where I sell
odds and ends - that's all.

As for the non-deliverables, I'm sure I can set a rule that will
delete "non-deliverable" automatically, or place them in a folder.

My only concern, now that I think of it, is if the Spammers use
someone else's valid email address, whom I wouldn't want to bother,
and then be labeled a Spammer myself.

Now, I'm going to see if I can do the fist part, set up a folder, to
filter all such messages into there.

Please advise,
Thanks, George
