Umm....first, you need to learn how to insert words into the body of any messages you post. You
can't write your entire question in the subject line, and expect other's to be able to read it.

Not sure if your question is related to Microsoft Access, which is the topic of this newsgroup.
If your question relates to Microsoft Word, try posting it in microsoft.public.word instead.

First please include the question (the whole question) in the body of
the message. Second make sure you include the program you are talking about
and the version (like MS Word XP)

Second It appears you need to press the insert key on your keyboard to
change from overwrite mode to insert mode.

This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the database
program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not be related
to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that clear and may
have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.

Joanne,
If you are too busy to write in the body of the message, many of us
are going to be too busy to try to help you.

Here's a quick clue as to how to get help in these news groups.
Write a very short header describing your problem. Then in the body of
the message state the program you are using, it's version, and then
any additional information needed to asses the problem.
We all want to help, but you have to do your part.
