I've created add-ins for excel before but for powerpoint I can't seem
to be able to view the vba code after I save my presentation as an
addin even after I load it. Does anyone have any ideas what I could be
doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong. This is normal behavior in PPT.

Have a look here though:

You can just open the original .ppt file that you saved as a PPT file
before creating the addin. You did save the original PPT file didn't
you? Well, you will next time.

Yes, I saved it. I was just used to being able to edit it after I save
the file as an add-in from using excel. Can you save slides on the
add-in? I'm trying to create an add-in to store slides so I can add
them more easily to presentations.

Different programs, different features, different ways of working with them.
The link I suggested will answer many questions and save you a lot of time if
you read it carefully.

No. Your original PPT can include slides if you like but PPT doesn't include
them when you save as an add-in.
