How do I use the junk email filter on imported outlook data files?

I can't seem to find anything on creating a rule to weed out junk email in
old folders; It's great that MS Outlook does it automatically, but I'm
wondering if there is some way to force MSOutlook to scan folders for junk
email.
 
nope. outlook only works on new mail as it is placed in the inbox.

if you use exchange server, it runs when a new ost is created.
