How do I use templates

I am trying to use a downloaded template, but I don't know how to use the
macro that is in it.

There are three ways to use a template and access a macro it contains. One
way is to open the template as if it were a Word document. The second way is
to base a new document on that template. The third way is to attach the
template to an existing document.

In any of these, macros in the template then become available. If a toolbar
doesn't appear (often, macros are placed on dedicated toolbars to make the
more accessible and visible), then choose Tools - Macro - Macros. Set Macros
In: to the name of the template in question, and any macros it contains (as
long as they're not hidden) will be listed.

You will also need to ensure that macro security is set to medium and that
installed templates and add-ins are trusted.

I always leave that bit for the 2nd round ;-), since either a) it's not a
problem for the user or b) it's a nightmare for the user. And, I keep my
fingers crossed that it's a).
