How do I use Hyperlinks to play music from Access?

I have a database containing details of around 5,000 tracks of music (track
title, artist, recording date, venue etc.) and wish to access the actual
tracks from within the database, so that they play. The music files will be
in MP3 format and held on either the hard drive or a DVD. I tried doing this
by creating an extra field in the database using a Hyperlink data type and
the address of the appropriate track. Clicking the Hyperlink field led to
the music file but didn't play it.

Is my requirement possible with Access and if so how?

I tried it using a hyperlink field and it worked just fine for me. Do you
have your MP3 files associated with an MP3 player on your computer?
