Hi,
How do I use the caption for figures which are in .png (portable network
graphics) format. I was trying to use the caption so that I can automatically
have the captions ready for all the figures and if by chance I got to add or
remove a figure frmo the set of figures, then automatically the figure
numbers are set instead of myself changing eveyone each time.
I would be thankful if anyone could help me with this.

I'm not sure I understand the problem. Are you saying Insert/Caption isn't
working for PNG graphics you've inserted into your document? Which version of
Word?
