HOW DO I UPGRADE FROM ACCESS 97 TO 2003?

I have MS Office 97 Professional. Using it on XP. Found that files from
newer versions won't open in my 97 Access. Files created on 97 can be opened
by newer versions. How do I upgrade my Access 97 to newest version of it
inexpensively, if not freely?

Not free and as I recall there is no direct upgrade from 97 to current
version. Check on that last part. Try the Microsoft web site, they should
have the information you need.

While you are at it, look up the cost of upgrading by either going to
the current Office Professional or just Access.

BTW just how new are the files you can't open? You may be able to go
party way and buy a newer but not current version of Access at a bargain
price.

According to http://www.microsoft.com/office/access/howtobuy/default.mspx
Access 97 does, in fact, qualify for the Access 2003 upgrade version
