How do I update the built in header and footer pull down lists?

In the FIle -> Page Setup -> Header/Footer tab I would like to add and delete
saved headers and footers.
Excel 2003 SP2

The header and footer built-ins have a mind of their own and don't allow any
editing.

About the only thing you can change is the user name under
Tools>Options>General.

This would not affect existing workbooks..only new ones.
