How do I Update Dynamic Web Templates?

When I save my .dwt it asks if I want to update all my pages. I say yes and
when I look at the other pages it does not show any updates to the content
that I wrote.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are you doing on a disk-based web as it is not automatic when you have a server-based web open under
the FP extensions.

disk base i believe. however, i downloaded a template from another gentlemen
on this site and when I change his .dwt it updates on his site. so i would
think when i try to creat one on my own it would update on my site. i dont
want to use his template because i already have a site and am trying to redo
it with dyanmic web templates.

further suggestions?

FP will only auto update DWT in a disk-based web (c:\...) not a server-based web (http://) unless
running Windows SharePoint Services (Windows 2003 Server)
