?HOW DO I UNINSTALL WIN 2000?

Recently i upgraded to win2000 from win 98,while doing
this i lost my connection device for my internet server
which no longer exists.Ive tried everything to going to
control/panel and trying to remove win2000 from
romove/programs but it doesnt show up in this area unlike
win98.My computer which is an IBM pentium II is and older
model and it is not compatible with some of the
device/drives for win 2000.Someone please help me on this
particular matter. Thankyou!

You can't uninstall W2k and thus revert to the old OS. You must
reinstall the old OS from scratch.

Upgrades are iffy, since slight corruptions and inconsistencies that
don't matter much to some older systems may propagate into the new W2k
and cause much heartache. A clean install of W2k is most often a
timesaver, despite the time it takes to reinstall all those apps and
system settings.

Also, device drivers tend to be unique to W2k, and it's possible your
loss of your "connection device" (are you being deliberately obfuscatory
here?) is due only to an older driver for the wrong OS. Look in Device
Manager to see if more info is available, and to use the built-in
troubleshooter.
