how do i un-grey out of office assistant

I set OUt Of Office assistant prior to going on holiday, I have now returned
and when I try to turn it off the menu option for OOOA is greyed out, can
anyone help please?

The Out of Office Assistant is only available to those people who use
Exchange as their email server. If you're using POP3, you would have to
create a rule and you will also have to leave your Outlook open and running
all the time:
