How do I turn off notifications?

Kevin

I have a Compaq laptop that can have either wireless and ethernet
connections. Usually I use the cable connection and turn off the wireless.
My Compaq computer has a button in the front to turn off wireless access.

Every time the computer comes out of standby, or I reboot the computer, I
get a notification message that says "wireless network connection is not
connected, wireless network unavailable", even though I have the "notify me
when there is limited or no connection" unchecked in wireless network
properties.

How do I turn these notifications off?

I updated to SP2. I don't think this was happening in SP1.

thanks! Kevin

Hi,

Open the properties of the network. Start | Connect to | Show all connections.

For each connection that you have configured, right click on it and then
choose properties.

Uncheck the box that says "Notify me when this connection has limited or no
connectvity".

That should stop the notifications.
